Mayank Sharma(09 Years)
09 years old Mayank is an innocent child who has been diagnosed with Relapsed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia, or relapsed ALL, refers to the return of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in patients who have already undergone treatment for the disease and ALL is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, which usually gets worse quickly if it is not treated. Looking at the criticalness of the disorder, it calls for immediate and adequate medical attention.
Mayank’s father Mr. Surinder, stays in Delhi and does not have the resources to arrange his son's treatment cost at Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon. Mr. Surinder works as a daily wage laborer and is the sole bread earner in the family. Due to his poor financial situation, Surinder is unable to afford his son’s treatment.
National NGO empathizes with Surinder’s pain of helplessness in trying times and has thus, agreed to take the responsibility of making adequate medical care available to Mayank so that he can be healed and can happily go back to his family, friends and relatives.
As per the hospital, Mayank has to undergo a surgery within next 15 days which is costing around Rs. 10 lakhs. Due to the lockdown and hospital expenses, his family has already exhausted their savings.
